Tap water, which is traditionally used in window washing, contains added minerals including calcium, magnesium, and potassium. These minerals in tap water can leave spots or streaks on windows after washing.

The Upkeep Team uses pure water window cleaning technology which purifies water by stripping the minerals from tap water through a process known as deionization. Pure water window cleaning combines the purified water with a telescopic pole and brush. This system is used to clean the windows leaving the surfaces clean and spot-free without the use of chemical additives.

Over time your home can become infested with microbes, algae, mildew, mold, fungi, moss, lichen, bacteria, and viruses. The Upkeep Team uses softwash technology on homes, buildings, and roofs to treat these infestations while also sanitizing the surfaces we are cleaning. We sanitize surfaces using the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) prescribed methods.

Soft washing is the alternative to pressure washing. The Upkeep Team uses waterbased, biodegradable chemicals to emulsify dirt and grime, break down insect nests and webs, and kill mold, mildew, algae, and bacteria. Rather than simply move the infestations from one area to another, the Upkeep Team treats and kills the infestations.

Soft washing uses one-third the water of pressure washing, lasts four to six times longer, and does not erode the surface like pressure washing can.

When a surface has significant growth or infestations, it may be necessary to pressure wash the surface prior to using softwash technology. The initial pressure washing can strip surfaces down to their most basic element. Pressure washing is most appropriate for restoration cleanings or concrete or brick surfaces such as driveways, patios, or stairs. In a case where pressure washing is necessary, The Upkeep Team will also use softwash technology to treat and sanitize the surface after completing the pressure washing.

Gutters redirect rain and storm water away from your home and foundation. When gutters are clogged with debris, they cannot function as intended. Clogged gutters can cause water to fall from your roof in a way that increases the risk of erosion, water pooling, leaks, and water damage to your home.

The Upkeep Team removes debris from gutters and then tests the gutters to ensure that the gutters are free and clear of debris to serve their essential purpose.
